Anthony J. Barbera is a former principal of The Ballentine Barbera Group, LLC, and has more than 20 years of experience providing consulting services on a wide range of economic issues in both the government and private sectors. Since 1989, Dr. Barbera’s primary practice has been in the economics of intercompany pricing. His specializations include detailed market analyses, cost-sharing agreements, intellectual property valuation, and product price analyses for numerous industries. Dr. Barbera has developed innovative transfer pricing ideas concerning trademarks and marketing intangibles that have proven useful and workable in a tax-planning context and he has assisted several large U.S. companies implement these ideas.
Anthony Barbera holds a Ph.D., Economics from the University of Maryland and a B.S. in Mathematics from Loyola College.
He is the co-author of "Using Advance Pricing Agreements to Mitigate Transfer Pricing Risk" from the Tax Director's Guide to International Transfer Pricing.
